1. Role of macis Newsi

• macis Newsi operates the Platform for providing news, information, digital media, videos, reports, analysis, interviews, commentary and related content.
• We may publish content produced internally or received from authorised journalists, contributors, agencies, partners and other sources.
• macis Newsi may edit, update, correct, remove or modify any content where necessary.
• News and information may change after publication due to developing events, updated information or corrections.
• Access to certain services or features may require User(s) to create an account and provide accurate and complete information.
• User(s) are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activities conducted through their account.

2. News, Editorial and Third-Party Content

• macis Newsi makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Platform is accurate at the time of publication.
• However, due to the nature of news and developing events, information may subsequently be updated, corrected or changed.
• Opinions, columns, analysis, interviews and commentary published on the Platform may represent the views of the respective authors, contributors or participants and do not necessarily represent the views of macis Newsi .
• The Platform may contain content, advertisements, links, videos or services provided by third parties.
• macis Newsi does not control independent third-party websites and shall not be responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or services.
• User(s) accessing third-party websites shall be subject to the terms and policies of such third parties.

3. User Conduct

User(s) shall not use the Platform to:

• Carry out any unlawful, fraudulent or prohibited activity;
• Upload or distribute harmful software, malware or viruses;
• Attempt unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems;
• Copy, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit content without permission;
• Publish defamatory, abusive, threatening, unlawful or infringing material;
• Impersonate another individual or organisation;
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform; or
• Violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

macis Newsi reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate access where a User violates these Terms or applicable law.

4. Advertising and Sponsored Content

• The Platform may display advertisements, promotional material, sponsored content, brand collaborations and third-party offers.
• Advertisements may be provided by independent advertisers or advertising networks.
• macis Newsi does not necessarily manufacture, provide, endorse or independently verify products or services advertised through the Platform.
• Any transaction entered into between a User and an advertiser or third-party service provider shall be between those parties and subject to their respective terms and policies.

5. Personal Information of Users

• The collection, use, processing and storage of personal information shall be governed by the macis Newsi Privacy Policy.
• macis Newsi may collect information such as name, email address, mobile number, account details, device information, IP address, usage information and other information voluntarily provided by the User.
• Such information may be processed for purposes including providing services, account management, communications, analytics, security, service improvement, legal compliance and other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
• Where required under applicable law, consent shall be obtained before processing personal data.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

• Unless expressly stated otherwise, all content made available through the Platform, including text, articles, reports, photographs, images, graphics, illustrations, designs, layouts, logos, trademarks, videos, audio recordings, interviews, software and other materials (“Content”), is owned by, licensed to or lawfully used by macis Newsi or the relevant rights holder.

• User(s) shall not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, broadcast, sell, license, scrape, download, republish or otherwise commercially exploit any Content without prior written permission.
• User(s) shall not remove or alter copyright notices, logos, trademarks, credits, watermarks or other proprietary information contained in the Content.
• All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by macis Newsi and the applicable rights holders.

7. Liability and Indemnity

• Users access and use the Platform at their own discretion.
• macis Newsi shall not be responsible for any loss arising from reliance on information, third-party content, advertisements, external websites or services available through the Platform, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
• The Platform and its Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
• macis Newsi does not guarantee that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical issues.
• macis Newsi shall not be responsible for disruption caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including internet failures, telecommunications failures, cyber incidents, natural disasters, government restrictions or other similar events.
• User(s) agree to indemnify macis Newsi against claims or losses arising from unlawful use of the Platform, violation of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights.

8. General Provisions

• macis Newsi may modify, update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform or its services at any time, subject to applicable law.
• macis Newsi may send service-related communications, news alerts, account notifications, promotional communications and other messages through email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications or other permitted communication channels where authorised by the User.
• These Terms shall be read together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any other policies published by macis Newsi .
• macis Newsi reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms shall become effective upon publication or as otherwise required by applicable law.
• If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to remain valid.
• These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
